  • 10 Trendy Plant-based Womenswear Pieces to Shop at Saks Off 5th Now

In this post, I talk about 10 trendy plant-based pieces to shop at Saks Off 5th now. I recently went shopping at the off-price retailer-- Saks off 5th, in Mission Valley in San Diego California. I was actually surprised to find many cotton pieces throughout the store. I found more cotton pieces than I usually do in other stores. In this post, I share several pieces that are very trendy that are made from at least 90% cotton, linen, or lyocell plant-based fabrics. Tops, jackets, dresses, pants, etc. are all made in plant-based fabrics, and few with less than 10% elastane/spandex. Saks off 5th is an outlet store of the luxury department store clothing chain– Saks 5th Avenue. Their outlet store-- Saks Off 5th carries discount luxury fashion, designer clothing, and accessories. They sell luxury clothing and designer brands up to 70% off. Saks Off 5th is similar to the Nordstrom luxury department store chain where they also have a discount clearance store called Nordstrom Rack. Most of the “shop the look” links I include are from the Saks Off 5th website, but there was one piece that I found in the store that I couldn't find on the Saks Off 5th website, so I chose to add the the brand name's website shop link. I also include what makes their brand ethical, sustainable, and/or things they are doing that are helping support the earth and human health. I add a (*) at the beginning of the sentence that talks about their sustainability/ethical practices. This post does not include all of what they are doing, I am just adding one important thing that they are doing that is sustainable/ethical. Each brand is supporting human health by producing plant-based apparel, because it is healthy and therapeutic to wear plant-based textiles. 1. We invite you to take a second to visualize your next project and let the creativity flow! Our goal is to provide you with quality materials to help make your vision come alive. Research has shown that synthetic textiles not only take longer to break down in landfills, but also contribute to microplastics in the water supply (from washing). For these reasons, we focus our efforts on finding fabrics with mostly natural fibers and a minimal amount of synthetics. We love cotton, linen, soy, bamboo, lyocell, modal, and cupro. Some items will have some spandex for stretch, but there is absolutely no polyester here (even recycled)! We do acknowledge that some projects are better when made with poly, but there are plenty of stores out there that already provide those kinds of fabrics.” - Sierra Sewing Supply Simplifi Fabric https://www.simplififabric.com Location: (Online) Canada + USA (Worldwide Shipping) “Kim and Tasha started Simplifi Fabric in 2012. • Why I started Healthy Fashion Campaign + Why I am a Fashion Solopreneur

My previous businesses and the relaunch of Healthy Fashion Campaign I relaunched my business Healthy Fashion Campaign in 2020. It is a business/campaign that is all about fashion for human health and fashion for environmental health. In 2015 I had officially launched the Healthy Fashion Campaign. While I had launched HFC in 2015, I also launched two other businesses: Alternative Fashion Media– which was a fashion news site, and I had launched a handmade eco-fashion brand called Alternative Fashion. Then, in 2017, my two businesses alongside the Healthy Fashion Campaign: Alternative Fashion Media and Alternative Fashion ended. I had slowly started the Healthy fashion Campaign on social media and I ended up relaunching the campaign in 2020. I opened new social media accounts for the Healthy Fashion Campaign. I wanted to start over and start fresh. The newly launched campaign is more of a modern take than how it was previously. It was previously more about explaining the history of toxic fashion and I didn't get incredibly involved in the other information that HFC is now about. My original Healthy Fashion Campaign did involve some of the fashion for health concepts I currently talk about. Yet, the whole idea of Healthy Fashion came to me many years ago. In 2017 I had to stop all three of my fashion businesses. I discontinued my handmade eco-fashion brand. I was designing, patternmaking, and sewing many fashion designs, over one hundred to hundreds of pieces. I created sample collections, and I was entered in several fashion shows. I created many fashion shoot/ fashion collection campaigns. I designed modern apparel. The fabrics I used were cotton, hemp, and linen staple fabrics. My previous businesses inspired me to relaunch my one business now which is the Healthy Fashion Campaign. Healthy Fashion is advanced because the main idea is that we move the fashion industry into the transition from mainstream/conventional-- to eco/sustainable-- to healthy: fashion that is healthy for the planet and healthy for the environment. Plant-tech + Upcoming Free Resources Fashion and sustainability are truly about health. A lot of what I find in the sustainable fashion industry that is a problem is that we are still using polyester or recycled polyester– a non-renewable resource that is technically not the perfect type of material for our bodies to wear. I do not like wearing polyester, and I have a passion for plant-based fashion, so I speak about this a lot. I do still wear some polyester, mainly my coats, shoes, and accessories are made from petroleum-based fabrics and materials. But, most of my wardrobe is plant-based or blended planted-based fabrics like cotton/lycra. This new campaign promotes and advocates this new concept that's fashion for health. We see this concept in some of the markets of the wellness trend, and the athleisure and minimalism apparel lifestyle brands. I find that a lot of the activewear, minimal and athleisure apparel that is comfortable for the body is designed not just for comfort but for human health. We live in our clothing and oftentimes when we have to go into the workplace we have to wear garments and outfits that are very uncomfortable, constricting, and restraining. Especially when we go to special events where we have to dress up. "If you want to get involved in the campaign, stay up-to-date with my blog posts. I'll be launching 2-4 blog posts a month. I will share lots of content and good information about fashion that is good for the body and planet. (Scroll to the bottom of the page for subscription form) I have two new free resources that I will soon be posting on my Free Resources page that I'm excited about launching. I'm excited to launch a list of sustainable fabric stores from around the world. I will also have a free resource list of innovative, patented fashion fabrics to know about. A lot of the plant-based fabrics I address in my book are not like these innovative fabrics that will be listed in the free resource document. For example, patented fabrics like Apple Skin apple faux leather, Mylo mushroom faux leather, or Rose Petal Down from Pangaia, are innovative, alternative, patented fabrics. The plant-based fabric glossary in my book HEALTHY FASHION is plants that exist naturally and are produced in their more natural state. We can patent them and transform them into fabrics like Tencel- Tencel fabrics they've transformed through fabric processing. They have made Tencel by taking the eucalyptus leaf or other wood pulp. They've used a spinnerette fabric processing to develop a cellulose fiber that is sort of transformed into suede and silk-like, mid-to-light fabric. Tencel is not necessarily in a plant's natural state. There are plenty of plants that I advocate as a way to propel plant-tech fashion and it does involve new, innovative fibers that are being patented, but it also involves harvesting and cultivating both wild and domestic plants and producing them in their more natural state like: ramie, nettle, bamboo, water hyacinth, sea algae (which technically algae would need to be processed) cattails, and kapok fill as an alternative down fill. I have done considerable research on about 36 plant fabrics, they are included in my book HEALTHY FASHION. The book has a 36 plant fabric glossary including their description and details of the plant-like whether or not the fabric was produced in history, or if it's in the minor/moderate/mass production phase, or testing phase for the future. Healthy fashion Campaign is much more than info about plant-based fabrics I do talk a lot about plant-tech fashion, but my work does not only involve plant-based fabrics. Healthy Fashion Campaign includes psychology and fashion, it involves universal sociology and fashion, fashion for the spirit, and fashion for our mental health. I include fashion for all the different aspects of the 5 bodies: mental, emotional, spiritual, energetic, and physical. I do get into the science of fashion, how plant cellulose, plant fibers, vegetable fibers are generally the best fabrics to wear topically. Plant-based is technically a cosmetic fabric. When we wear plant-based fabrics now we are generally wearing cotton and linen. To transition into healthy fashion we have to mass-produce other plants versus just producing mostly linen and cotton. The demand for polyester will never go away if we continue to wear and produce polyester apparel. I explain a lot in the book about plant-tech fashion, and I'll also be talking about plant-tech fashion in the upcoming event I'm in. The Fashion Mentorship Event Series. You can sign up here to attend the digital event. This event will be about retail and fashion tech. I'm going to be talking about plant fabric technology. EDUCATIONAL FASHION RETAIL NETWORKING and MENTORING HUB: The National Fashion Technology Mentorship Series (NFTMS) I will be speaking on: "Increasing visibility and awareness in terms of sustainable practices." Sign up for the new event for Feb 3rd and/or March 3rd: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/national-fashion-technology-mentorship-series-tickets-228323480677 Why I am a solopreneur Healthy Fashion Campaign is a passion of mine. I'm very passionate about fashion– I've been passionate about fashion my whole life. I went to fashion design school at the Academy of Art University. I've worked in retail quite a bit-- in sales, management, styling, and merchandising. I have also worked quite a bit in fashion entrepreneurship with my past eco-fashion brand and my past fashion news site. Additionally, I produced an eco-fashion show in 2014 and had an eco-fashion journalism blog in 2014. I love fashion, and I'm in the process of continuing to launch Healthy Fashion Campaign more and more. It is taking time. I'm not really in a rush at this point. It's fairly slow in regards to me launching and spreading awareness about the campaign, but it's picking up. I'm advocating this work as a 'campaign'– but it's sort of called a campaign in a trendy way. It's more about my work that I like to talk about, the information I like to pass forward. I do call it a campaign, but, it's not going to turn into a large structure like most campaigns. It will not be a mass-employee organization. It's not that type of campaign. I'm just using the term campaign kind of loosely like a trendy term. I'm using it as a trend like a fashion trend: Healthy Fashion Campaign. I want to address this because some would assume that this campaign is going to turn into some organization where there's going to be lots of people involved, and it is not. I am a solopreneur and always will be... unless I work with my future husband then it will be a two-person show. I won’t be employing people. I do a lot of research, a ton of research in regards to fashion, and I like to talk about what fashion concepts I like that change the industry– and how I can influence and support the fashion industry through my work. At one point, I did want to employ people and create a large organization, but that has changed once I relaunched the Healthy Fashion Campaign. I want to write more fashion books (a psychic says I will be publishing two more fashion books!) and a lot of research and blog content I want to do on my own-- and it is solo work. The campaign is supposed to inspire other people to launch mass-employee healthy businesses, but I am not going to be employing people in this lifetime, it is not for me. Healthy Fashion Campaign is not going to be like a movement, but it is a movement– healthy fashion. Fashion for health is a movement, especially with the pandemic happening. People are talking about health and wanting to use fashion to protect themselves from the virus. That has been a large trend and also the trend of fashion for comfort. People that have been staying at home they've been wearing a lot of yoga clothes and activewear. Activewear, minimal fashion, and athleisure, are the types of clothing genres that we can design and advance more. We can make fashion collections with high taste and design that also make us feel comfortable. The fashion industry does and can, even more truly, make comfortable clothing that in appearance looks dressy, looks fancy, looks professional. It's not just about going out wearing sweatpants, but we can produce sweatpants in a very tasteful, designer way. Back to why I am a solorpreneur. Creating and owning a fashion business is a lot of work, and I have worked in many corporate companies with large teams. I was never happy when I was working on those teams completely because I was given tasks that ended up being too repetitive. When I am a solopreneur, I can work on many different things, which makes me feel much less bored. Also, while I am still launching the campaign, there are so many concepts that are very new to people. I can’t hire people to talk about subjects that aren’t even being spoken about very much. I want to be able to express my concepts in my way, and on my own. Unless I have a future husband that comes into my life, (he will probably be interested in fashion and be a part of it.) Other than that this campaign is a solopreneur company. I have put a lot of pressure and stress on myself, and I still do, feeling like I have to turn my businesses into a corporate structure, but it is just not something I want to do. It is not my style. I wish it was my style sometimes, but I am different. I have other interests that I want to pursue also, and having a large company would not give me the time to work on my other interests. I want to write a cookbook, I want to create fine art angel/fairy/spiritual illustration/painting collections (again). I also want to continue my planetary energy work as an energy healer and travel and work at visiting more and more spiritual energy vortexes. Yet, I still have more fashion projects I want to add to the Healthy Fashion Campaign. For example, I want to create more fashion printables and create a fashion consultation page on this site. I do want to make Healthy Fashion a priority but I also need to focus on my health. I have had some serious health challenges in my own life due to a personal situation that involves a stalker/criminal attacking me. I don’t like to talk about it, but it affects my life in so many ways and does not stop, that I have to mention– I cannot achieve what I want to achieve due to some very dark evil spirits trying to ruin my life, and break me down in so many ways. But this is a blog, and most bloggers eventually talk about their personal life too, as a part of a lifestyle blog. One of my biggest challenges: enemies that like to use voodoo, black magick, witchcraft, AI weapons, and numerous different things to attempt to kill my spirit. A psychic and other psychic criminal investigators have confirmed, there will be a trial against these few people who are hurting me (which is going to take up a lot of my time, and I also have taken time daily to document) and the psychics also say the criminal acts against me will eventually stop. I will be very happy for that day, and it will be a miracle! I will be able to focus on fashion so much more and will be able to keep working on my mission and purpose in life. • Healthy Fashion Update

Hello, I hope you are having a good New Year 2022. I'm here to just give you a brief update about some of my life situations, and what's going on with me as well. I will also talk a little bit more about my book “Healthy Fashion: The Deeper Truths,” and a new fashion event I am participating in. My Travel + The Book I have been really busy this past month, so, I haven't gotten a chance to do a bunch of marketing for the book. I have had so much going on! I've traveled about 8,000 miles within 4 weeks from Dec. 15, 2021, to Jan. 15, 2022… so I'm very tired and burnt out from that. It was also a relaxing trip. It gave me some time to just be on the road. I've also learned that there are lots of ‘ley lines’ and ‘energy vortexes’ and ‘portals’ going through the freeways. I was channeling them. I don't necessarily know if I believe that, but my spirit guides have told me that this is part of my work as a planetary energy healer. So as much as my traveling that has been going on, I have also been in the process of wanting to post more blog posts and put up my new social media content, but I just really have not had the time. So, at this point, I want to discuss with you my book: Healthy Fashion: The Deeper Truths. On the back of the book, I have three fun endorsements that were included, and a brief description book. The description of the book says: “We all want more ways to feel and look healthy. Fashion can do just that, and Alyssa Couture is here to show you how. There's so much pain and suffering in the world but fashion can be the tool to promote and create healing, health, and overall balance and harmony.” During these past 8 months, I've been on over 35 podcasts speaking about my book. Every single podcast host said that they are very inspired and excited about the topic and that they think it's new, innovative, and fresh. If you really would like to pick up this book but you don't know if you think it'll be a good book for you, I will say you will be interested if you are interested in the following topics: Fashion for the future Fashion for modern-day living Fashion and the pursuit of feeling magical: because we all want to feel more magical in life and this book is all about magical fashion– that is a new age, supernatural fashion The book is also about wellness trends, eco fashion, and sustainable fashion. Sustainable fashion is the gateway to fashion for human health and magical fashion. I talk a lot about sustainable fashion as well as metaphysical fashion and New Age fashion. You can order the book at AMAZON here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1789045932/ref=tsm_1_fb_lk What inspired me to write HEALTHY FASHION I want to also tell you a little bit about how this book came to life. It's 295 pages of very interesting content that I have partly channeled, I believe. I visited an energy vortex, a mountain in Mount Shasta, California called Mount Shasta. Mount Shasta is an energy portal, a very spiritual place. A place where you connect with your higher self. This is where I got the inspiration to write the book, and how I feel it was partly channeled by my higher-self and my twin flame. My twin flame was spiritually and telepathically with me as I wrote the book. I have had such a passion for fashion. I've had a passion for fashion since I was 16 years old. I was always drawn to think about fashion more deeply– in a psychological, philosophical, sociological, alternative, New Age, occult way– but not ‘occult’, I mean ‘esoteric’. I am the exact opposite of occult– evil. This book is the exact opposite of evil, and that's why it may be hard to bring this book into the mainstream because if you are aware, most everything in the public is rigged by the Illuminati, secret societies, Freemasons, and Satanism on planet Earth. Evil is everywhere. If you want to be popular you just sell your soul and be on their evil side in that world, but if you don't sell your soul, you probably have to struggle and be put with many challenges. This book is going to be a success because of the incredible amount of information in the book. It's a fun book, it's very interesting, there are so many interesting things that I put in the book to keep you interested. I don't know if you are aware that fashion is already going into a sort of transition. It's transitioning from mainstream fashion to eco/sustainable fashion and ultimately going towards fashion for health stage, natural healing stage, and fashion for metaphysics stages. One big reason why I know that this is happening is that I have such a strong connection with fashion for healing and health, and it is because I have studied the work of Hannah Kroger. Hannah Kroger was a famous herbalist. She was an herbalist, a healer, she had five kids, she had a health retreat, and she was one of the first people that had opened a natural food store in America. I believe she's Turkish, she's from Turkey– she was an immigrant. She came to America, she had raised a family in Colorado with her husband. Her health shop is still carried on by her kids in Colorado. The health shop is called Hannah’s Herb Shop. I've been there, I love it. She was all into metaphysics. She used a spiritual pendulum to help people with their health issues. She's just a fascinating lady. I have a connection with her work, a spiritual connection with her work and this prompted some of my work, and her work helped bring HEALTHY FASHION to life. I wanted to bring fashion into that kind of new dimension that Hanna did in her work. So, she was one of the major inspirations of this book. New Event: I’m honored to announce that I am speaking at an upcoming National Fashion Technology Mentorship Series (NFTMS) session! I will be speaking at the event produced by Ominous.AI and BDMT Global. I'm going to be speaking on a panel with a group of fashion professionals. I'll be discussing sustainable fashion and fashion for health. I am looking forward to the event. It's going to be a lot of fun. Tickets are only $10. There's an event on February 3rd and March 3rd. I will be speaking on February 3rd. “NFTMS will enable fashion retailers across the country, with varying experience levels, to connect and network while unlocking future-oriented strategies and tools from leading industry experts. Everyone already has those qualities when clothing is a natural extension of both one’s individuality and communion with the environment and existence. It is the wisdom, spirit, and art of fashion that helps create a strong, ‘soul’ presence. What inspired me to write Healthy Fashion? I always had an interest in fashion. I went to college for fashion design and I have been working in fashion for quite some time. I am a fashion designer, having previously launched a small, handmade fashion brand: Alternative Fashion. Naturally being an optimistic person, I noticed an emptiness and lack of spirit and health in fashion in general. I was then inspired to write a book that would be attributed as modern, fresh, and high-fashion for the New Age. I consider myself a fashion intuitive, and over the years I have created interesting, new concepts for fashion both through artistic, and philosophical channels. What inspired my book and writing? • Fashion Trend Report: Nordstrom Must-Haves for Women and Men

Fashion Trend Report I went to the Fashion Valley mall in San Diego and went straight to Nordstrom. I am always very inspired when I visit Nordstrom, and Nordstrom Rack: the discounted price outlet store with the mass and contemporary fashions. Many of the pieces I saw at the high-end Nordstrom at the Fashion Valley mall, were a mix of contemporary and ready-to-wear fashions. While I was shopping I took many photos. So, in this blog post, you will see a gallery list of photos. All these fashion photos that I took are of outfits from the dressed mannequins, a few pieces hanging from the racks, and garments that were folded onto the tables. These items listed below are very trendy right now. I even took these photos a couple of months ago. These are all long-term fashion trends, they are not fads. Many clothing pieces, I noticed, are no longer only fashionable for one season. These trends are lasting a year and longer. I found both women's and men's trends. The women's trends I will share with you first. Not everything is plant-based, but the garments in the photos have ergonomic properties and can support the mind, body, and spirit, even if they are made with synthetic materials. Below each photo I talk about each look or garment, and what makes it the current trend. WOMEN Photo: Nordstrom Formal: a beautiful black satin-like trench coat. A dressy turtleneck, with plaid made with beige, burgundy, and black color prints. I love this coat because it is a trench coat designed with a hood. Photo: Nordstrom I love this set. I think it is not that formal, but for athleisure, this is a dressy athleisure look. I love the side panel, with the signature Burberry print. The large text on the panel makes it look very modern. The cute white teeshirt is fresh, and the sleeves are a different fabric, the plaid fabric. I think these contrasting fabrics look good. Photo: Nordstrom I love this dress. I love mini a-line dresses. The rounded v-collar and large buttons make the look stylish. The sleeves are extra-large, so when the sleeve drapes downward there are lots of large curls, making the look very feminine. Photo: Nordstrom This designer Yan Yan created a really cute collection of knitwear pieces. The little 3d rose bud flowers are sewn throughout the garment like a pattern. The cuts and shape of the silhouettes are very futuristic. I love the colors they chose: baby, white, and black. The looks are cozy, yet the rosebuds make the look appear dressy. Photo: Nordstrom I took this photo because of the mirror. I think it is a really good retail furniture piece, and really will help sell the clothes. The pink and black collection of the piece hanging near it make them look extra stylish. Photo: Nordstrom This is a cute athleisure look. This is a great set, and I love light grey. The patterned top makes the look very trendy and modern. I love the all-light grey look paired with an all-black sneaker. Photo: Nordstrom The sherpa coats are by Stand Studio. Fall and winter will soon be arriving. These coats have been in trend for a while, and they are not going away anytime soon. They are so soft and comfortable, and these shades of white, pink, and camel are so stylish. Photo: Nordstrom This mannequin is proof that athleisure is a long-term trend, that is not going to go away anytime soon. What I noticed at Nordstrom was around 30-50% of all their product was athleisure. There were several more mannequins with the athleisure product, and it wasn't just from the activewear sections. All white looks are very modern and they look dressy when wearing even casual wear. Photo: Nordstrom This cute sweatshirt is by BP. A classic piece for your wardrobe. I love the faded fabric treatment, it makes the fabric look worn, and the dye appearance soft. This sweatshirt is the type of sweatshirt everyone should wear. You can wear this with anything, and it can be dressed down or up, and look good. Photo: Nordstrom Cropped teeshirts with denim overalls and oversized large business vest jackets with mini jean skirts. I think these are a cute couple of looks. I would wear this oversized vest and mini skirt, it looks so comfortable, and dressy at the same time. The overall is cute, and I like them, even more, when they are worn with shirts like this cropped top v-neck tee shirt. Photo: Nordstrom I love this light pink sweatshirt by Aviator, with pastel and warm-colored strips on the sleeve. I love the label on the garment, it says it will distress naturally with age, and make it look even better. I think it is important for brands to say things like this, it will keep people from throwing out clothes too soon. The lightning bolt embroidery is a cute symbol, but it is energizing, too. Photo: Nordstrom These leggings are by AFRM. Knit leggings are a new trend, that I think is going to be a longer trend. We can design multiple different types of leggings with multiple different types of knit weaves. I love seeing these leggings in lighter colors. There are a lot of leggings in black and grey, so it is nice to see them in different colors. MEN Photo: Nordstrom This is a good trend, dressy cotton, with oriental abstract prints, in both bright and pastel colors combined. The pink teeshirt and white, longer-length shorts make it a fun look. Photo: Nordstrom These shorts are by Trunks. I love these pastel colors for men, and pastel is the type of color shades we want to see in menswear. These fabrics give off a modern, yet retro feel that is very stylish. I like long shorts, but I think shorter shorts are becoming more and more of a trend for this season, and the cruise/resort collections. Photo: Nordstrom I love these looks, and they are perfect for the fall. The black and white print pattern is very artistic and creative. I love the classic green shirt opened with a white shirt and jeans. The jeans rolled up are a cool trend, and it reveals a nice color shade of brown on the socks. Photo: Nordstrom This velour, terry polo shirt by Noon Goons is a lot of fun. The brand is based in Downtown Los Angeles so I can see this LA-style vibe from it. It had the perfect light purple color, and the fabrics is soft. The velour terry is a long-term trend currently. Photo: Nordstrom These are a few dressy casual looks that I found in Nordstrom. The enlarged feather print is formal yet casual. The knit polo, the knit weave make this polo dressy. Short to mid-short shorts are a great look when you want to look a little dressier than usual. Navy white and black with accent colors or khaki and burgundy are cool and interesting. Photo: Nordstrom I love this outfit, and it is one of my favorite outfits. This hunter green is a fabulous color, and I love the animal print. The sneakers are really cute, and I love sneakers with crew socks, it is a great trend. Cut-off jean shorts in this faded black look great. They are extra tapered, making it a modern, fresh look. Final Thoughts I enjoyed shopping at Nordstrom. I had a lot of fun taking these photos of the garments, and mannequins. I love Nordstrom's retail merchandising, and their displays. I create more of these fashion trend reports in the future. • Track Your Fashion Process: a Template to Support You and Your Wardrobe

My fashion printables for professional and individual use I created the Mini Fashion Planner and the Fashion Journal Tracker for both professional and individual use. I am in the process of creating a longer version of the Fashion Journal Tracker, so stay tuned. It is going to be a larger version and a hybrid of both the Mini Fashion Planner and the Fashion Journal Tracker combined. Would you like to have a template that plans your fashion dreams? I have created a fashion template that works to develop the stages of our own fashion process with my two fashion printables that are free on my free resources page: the Mini Fashion Planner, and the Fashion Journal Tracker. These fashion printable templates, for example, will help you as you write down your favorite fabrics and/or create a fabric collection through your own wardrobe or professionally for the fashion industry. Another part of the tracker and planner that I like is that you have a place to gather and collect: fashion news fashion reports fashion trends fashion styles fashion shows fashion research fashion terminology + more All of these things are important for a fashion enthusiast and fashion professional to write down. Creating a binder and adding this printable to other printables and/or printing more copies of my printables and adding them to your binder-- it will make sure that your work does not get deleted on the computer. You can also scan them and keep them on the computer for reference. "A fashion template will help you create a successful foundation for your fashion career or for your individual fashion wardrobe." I started to try out the printables that I found online, and I loved them, so it made me want to create my own printables. The planners and trackers can offer you a way to organize your fashion research and fashion notes. This planner and tracker are new. The printable business is a new and large trend, in many different industries. Everyone is using printable planners, but not printables specifically for fashion, as much. An example that I have added to my fashion journal tracker: a fashion experience that supports my health and future Your fashion tracker can also be your fashion journal. I will explain to you one clothing item that was creating a type of experience for my life and it was my fashion ‘creating’ that was a part of my lifestyle. One of my favorite clothing items was a pair of white, bamboo, jersey knit leggings. They would actually be considered thermals. The leggings could be worn under jeans or other types of pants. These bamboo leggings were so comfortable to wear, I truly felt like I could relax more. I can’t remember if they were a bamboo rayon or bamboo lyocell, but the texture was so comfortable that this made the textile ergonomic. When I wore the thermals I ended up wearing them to bed, they were the perfect pants to wear to bed because they were so soft against my skin. I also wore them under my pants. They weren’t the types of leggings you could just wear, because of the fabric, style, and design of the thermals. One ergonomic property that the bamboo fabric had was great movement and stretch to the fabric. The fabric wouldn't tug or pull when I moved around the fabric easily moved with my body. Not all stretch fabrics have great movement. This is an important fashion memory that I want to remember, so, I wrote it down in my tracker and planner. It also helps me for the future, and when I go shopping I can look for those types of materials and designs that I loved from the white bamboo jersey knit leggings. There are different ways of valuing apparel and clothing accessories, and one way is evaluating the clothing. When we evaluate our clothing, we are finding what pieces we have a closer connection to, and what pieces we don’t. Another way to value our clothing is to wear them out to the point where it can no longer be worn. The leggings, I wore for many years until the fabric started to disintegrate from laundering so much and for so long. It is also an important part of reflecting on fashion in a way to evaluate current fashion and past fashion. A lot of times when we look at fashion we believe that it is not a fashion experience or fashion moment, but when we dress in our clothing daily it is actually a fashion ritual, a fashion experience. Modernize, revitalize and transform with effortless fashion planning and tracking Here are a few more things we can add to our tracker and/or planner: organize and write down your yearly, monthly, and quarterly goal and intention fashion icons daily journaling prompts strategies keyword prompts important fashion dates vision board- fashion mood board magazine collage activity fashion planning templates inspirational quotes fashion outlines If you are looking to find new ways to prompt your new fashion ideas, I have created this journal to both grow your fashion business and help support your personal wardrobe. Get the printable free on my resources page. My fashion printables are designed for all fashion pioneers. For both fashion professionals, fashion enthusiasts, and fashion influencers. We are all a part of the fashion industry in one way or another. These printables are "designer". I created the Fashion Journal Tracker, and my recent Mini Fashion Planner because I believe printables are a great way to support and promote our healthy fashion wardrobe, and healthy fashion industry. The printables are designed to give you success and make your wardrobe do the work for you. Stay tuned for the new planner/tracker printable, it will be much longer with a lot more technical information. If you want more info about these two printables, check out these two blog posts: How to Use The Fashion Journal Tracker The Mini Fashion Planner for your Fashion + Beauty + Health Routines I have created a youtube video explaining how to use the Mini Fashion Planner Want to read more articles? • Healthy Fashion + Accessories That Will Boost Your Workout Performance

Healthy Fashion + Accessories Want to wear clothing that will help you perform better during your exercise routine? Check out these 5 things to include in your workout wardrobe that are important to wear during your workouts, and whenever you are active. There is a big trend occurring called the wellness trend. A part of the wellness trend is “healthy fashion," also called “wellness fashion.” In this post, I talk about specific types of clothing that can boost your workout performance. Wearing these items will make you feel and look beautiful. Fashion for health naturally supports your own unique exercise routine needs. Here are the 5 clothing items to wear in order to boost performance: Plant-based performance apparel Bras for better breathing (for women) Cushioned socks Shock absorbing trainers Comfortable + sporty silhouettes Below is a breakdown of each fashion item and the reasons why we may choose to wear them. 1. Plant-based performance apparel There are several plant-based fabrics that are made into activewear apparel. A few of them are Tencel, linen, cotton, hemp, and ramie. All of these plant-based fabrics are being made into stretch-based jersey knit fabrics because they help the body move during activity. There are some woven fabrics that are good to wear for exercising, like windbreaker jackets and windbreaker pants. Windbreakers have a loose fit, yet, for most activewear apparel, we need stretch-based fabrics for tops, bottoms, underwear, and socks, etc. There are several textiles design manufacturing companies that are coming out with new performance-based fabrics made from plant materials. For example, there are many athletic apparel companies carrying plant-based, jersey-knit Tencel activewear. Tencel is made from botanic cellulosic fibers, usually from the pulp of the Eucalyptus tree. It is a naturally wicking fabric. Tencel is a comfortable and lightweight material to wear. Tencel is cooling with temperature-balance textile properties. A few other fabric types that are nice to wear during workout routines are bamboo, linen, cotton, hemp, and ramie. There are many new types of plants being made into apparel textiles. It is just a matter of time when more plant-based fabric will be produced for activewear products and garments. Why wear plant-based fabrics over polyester fabrics? One big part of it is the comfort factor. Plant-based fabrics are more comfortable to wear. There are a lot of synthetic tech fabrics being made for sportswear and activewear, yet, more and more comfortable plant-based tech fabrics are being designed and produced. Plant-tech fabrics, which are plant-based fabrics with technical properties, have similar and even better types of performance properties and characteristics than synthetic fabrics. Most of the time people are worried about sweating if they wear cotton while they exercise, yet they are not going to stay soaked in plant-based fabrics, especially when wearing the technologically improved plant tech fabrics. Many activewear garments are plant-based. For example, yoga, pilates, and barre apparel brands design and produce clothing in organic jersey knit fabrics. Additionally, it is very common to see a yoga or pilates studio, become influenced and inspired by activewear brands that use organic cotton, bamboo, and Tencel. In regard to exercise and sweat, no matter what fabric we wear, the sweat is going to collect in the fabric, but, we don’t want to get chilled from sweat. So, it is important to find the correct fabrics that work for people’s own unique selves and for their own bodies. We want to choose fabrics that are going to be able to perform for us. 2. Bras for better breathing (for women) Bras should not be too tight, but they should be fitted. Bras can push on the diaphragm too much, and keep the body from being able to breathe properly. This is not good, especially during exercise, we need to be able to breathe properly. If a bra is too tight it can deliver less oxygen into the cells. One way of eliminating a bra altogether is wearing a cropped fitted camisole, but some camisole designs may not have enough support for the chest. Many camisoles that are cropped are almost like bras however, they just don't have the elastic or wire that makes many bras uncomfortable to wear, and make it hard to breathe. Yet the camisole may not be able to support the chest as much as needed. We just need to find a bra that doesn't squeeze too much and/or causes too much redness. If its straps are elasticated, they can create a red mark on the body. This is a sign that the bra is too tight. Tight bras can cause fainting, so it may not be all from a strenuous workout if one feels dizzy, it could actually be the bra squeezing in the diaphragm. I would definitely try the Tencel bralettes that they have available. Tencel is a great fabric for undergarments. Many of the synthetic fabrics that are made and designed into bras are not being regulated and tested for their toxic chemicals. The chest area is a very sensitive area and we need to support the body and protect the area in a healthy way. By choosing organic fabrics, and/or low-impact fabric dyes will help. Also, many light-colored fabrics have fewer chemicals. 3. Cushioned socks Ergonomic cushioned socks and compression socks for circulation are important. Socks help keep the body feeling healthy and comfortable. Polyester-based socks typically make the foot sweat much more quickly. If you cannot find hundred-percent cotton socks, you can always wear the 80% cotton 20% polyester fabric blend. It is a very popular blended fabric for socks. There's a difference between midweight socks, heavyweight socks, and lightweight socks. Depending on the design and style, usually, you may want to wear a midweight sock. This is because it creates less friction between your skin and the shoe. Some lightweight socks are very beneficial for the feet when active however many midweight socks are going to give you the extra cushion as well. Additionally, we want to choose socks that are going to be ergonomically designed for the feet. Some of the therapeutic socks available are specifically based on supporting the leg and ankle by their compression design. These compression socks, when not too tight, really help with circulation during the workout. 4. Shock absorbing trainers The trainers with the most support have a shock-absorbing sole. The sole and insole need to feel cushioned and flexible. The ideal sneakers to wear are the ones that have a cushioned flexible sole and have shock-absorbing properties. In order to test this, take a sneaker, and take your two fingers, squeezing them from the outside and the inside of the sole. If it is stiff and hard you are most likely not going to get the support you need for your foot. A part of wearing healthy fashion is having good support for the feet and being comfortable. You will find a comparison when you visit an Outlet shoe store and they sell cheap sneakers with low quality. Many Outlet sneakers, most of the sneakers they carry are going to have a very hard and thin insole and sole. When you go to an athletic performance shop like a sporting goods store, Adidas, Puma, Nike, and Macy's, these shops are going to sell sneakers over $70vUSD. Usually, any sneaker under $70 USD is typically not going to be a support-soled trainer. I own a pair of Adidas sneakers. They were about $110 USD with tax. The reason why I bought these sneakers is specifically for the support. I have had problems with other sneakers that were cheaper. Adidas is a really good brand and they are worth paying the extra price. However, I also paid 35 dollars at TJMAXX for a pair of sneakers too, and it felt like I was walking on a cushion. It was surprising how much of a deal I got, and how comfortable and cushioned those sneakers are. Another thing you might want to consider is buying sneakers where you can easily slip them on and slip them off. These Adidas sneakers I own have a type of fabric that is stretchy against the top of the foot which gives more comfort to the foot, when active. Some lace-up shoes, but not all lace-up shoes have a woven type of fabric that is hard against the skin, and hard against the top of the foot. If you can find a sneaker with stretchy-based fabric on the tongue and upper part of the shoe-- the fabric that hits against the upper part of the foot and on the sides, this will give you more comfort and it will help you while you workout. 5. Comfortable sporty silhouettes Not all cuts are going to work for your body. Everyone has different tastes and reasons why they wear specific silhouettes and cuts. Basically, the cut is really important to keep you comfortable and keep you performing well. One example of a cut and silhouette that gives me energy as it feels good on my body is a boxy cropped cotton t-shirt and leggings. Others may just want to wear a tank top, some people love their large t-shirts and sweatpants, while other people love their tank tops with fitted leggings and men's spandex. The outfit that you look and feel good in will supply the most energy. What's most important is finding the types of cuts that make you feel comfortable when you move. Not all garments are made to help people move. For example, a fitted blazer. Say, you're going to the office and you are wearing a woven knit blazer, and the cut of the garment doesn’t work perfectly, it is too small, and you really can't even move your shoulders because the blazer's cut is too tight. I have personally worn blazers that were just too small but they were so cute I wore them anyway. This is a great example of what I'm talking about with the silhouette’s cut. We need to wear cuts that agree with the body especially when we are in motion. Final Thoughts Part of achieving a healthy lifestyle includes the types of ‘healthy’ clothing items that we wear. Activewear clothes can also be worn as loungewear and daywear, not just for your exercise routine. Typically, activewear clothing is best worn throughout the day because it is often the most comfortable and most ergonomically designed apparel product available. We are heading towards a future where activewear apparel is going to be designed to cater to all of these apparel items and elements of design mentioned above: fabrics, bras (for women), socks, trainers, and silhouette cuts. Healthier clothing will be more mainstream in general, like more and more activewear apparel is going to be made out of bio-based materials instead of petroleum-based materials. Clothing will have technical designs that are ergonomic and specifically made to support the mind, body, and spirit in a therapeutic way. More fabrics are going to be designed and produced as ‘plant-tech’, which is technologically futuristic textiles. There's a world full of potential for athletic wear, and currently, there are so many great options to choose from. I hope you have enjoyed this post, and I am sure these fashion tips will boost your exercise routine! Want to read more articles? Check them out here: HIGHLIGHTS

  • Q+A: Current Techwear and the Future of Fashion Techwear

    1. What are the dangers of wearable tech? There are dangers of wearable tech. We can wear wearable tech if the types of materials we use to produce them improve. I don’t wear techwear, but a lot of the time I feel because I work on my cellphone and laptop, I am in contact with the tech materials a lot, and it feels like I am wearing wearable tech. I can feel a burning sensation emitting off the computer or cell phone, and that symptom is negative. Several reports were found that EMF’s creates oxidative stress in many tissues of the body. I think it is better to have less contact with these types of materials that are found in wearable tech, yet it might not be possible for many due to the types of work people have. I personally feel like electronics drain my energy. A computer monitor and a separate keyboard are better than laying hands and arms on the laptop and its materials, but I do travel, so a laptop is what I use. I try to recharge and cleanse my body with nature in order to release some of the electronics’ electrical circuits and EMFs that I am in contact with. As for wearable tech-- there are two kinds of wearable tech also named techwear. The first type is medical-based techwear like heart monitors, and the second type is fashion accessory techwear. I think our bodies have the ability to adapt to these kinds of materials, however, I think they can be improved and made with healthier types of materials. Our body is already made up of electrical currents, and the elements of our body create a unique electrical current. Additionally, the body’s meridian lines and chakras all have specific energy current flow patterns. The techwear can disrupt these currents. When we wear these wearables-- they may disrupt the currents of energy within us because body electricity has its own unique electrical current pattern. Techwear is also known to be carcinogenic, like the RFID microchips found near our clothing labels. Microchips have been tested and found they may cause illness and cancer. Companies are embedding electronics and software in clothing tags, shoes, clothing, and jewelry. Many people are electro-sensitive and EMF-sensitive. We can physically and mentally feel the effects of these products much more easily than others that don’t have the ability to sense it. I believe in the future we are not going to be so focused on using electricity to be able to operate our electronics. We will be using new ways and new types of materials and Earth’s elements to operate our electronics and techwear. Once this happens, wearing tech will not harm or threaten the body and mind. Until then, there is a lot of disease on this planet, and the body is made up of elements, we are not made up like a robot, so we do have to be aware of the kinds of materials we are putting on our body. 2. Many fashion brands are now saying that wearing clothing with nanotech that allows you to trace the fibres in their garments is somehow sustainable. Which kinds of claims have you heard? Many companies are adding a type of microchip into their fabrics and tags are sewn in next to the product’s labels. I think it is one thing to have a clothing tag that is attached to the garment, and is taken off after or at the time of purchase, yet there are still a lot of negative things that can occur when we use this type of RFID technology for tracking/information purposes. It is important for people to be able to learn and understand where their clothes are from and how they are made, yet embedding microchips into fabrics for various purposes does not support the wearer. Microchips are generally carcinogenic. They are also adding QR codes on garment tags. Is it sustainable? Many people say that QR codes and bar codes are “the mark of the beast” and are used for purposes of control. Bar codes are a collection of lines and numbers printed on a product’s package. My favorite author, Hanna Kroger-- the master healer and herbalist, now deceased, was the ‘grandmother of health.’ She sold health products worldwide (and her family continues to, to this day.) On every package produced, she printed the infinity symbol right directly above the bar codes on her products. The infinity symbol is a positive symbol that is supposed to neutralize the negative effects of the bar code. 3. Why do you think these claims are 'greenwashing'? Many of the nanotech materials that are found in fibers and on fabrics, most of them are “micro” yet they can affect the world negatively overall. These materials, whether synthetic or natural, can spread very easily, affecting the ecosystem in various ways. Additionally, most microchips used in the fashion industry are not biodegradable, they cannot break down. 4. Since the pandemic, more and more fashion brands are using machines and/or robots to create their fashion. Do you consider this 'ethical' fashion? Why or why not? There needs to be more development for underdeveloped countries, and advancing the garment industry will be a large part of making that happen. I think if a robot or machine can lessen some of the serious labor that garment workers have to go through, but they can still have a garment manufacturing job and help make the clothes, it might help. However, having a bunch of robots take over the manufacturing industry is not ethical and it will not economically help the underdeveloped communities. It won’t work because we need to develop machines and technology that will support our fashion industry workers, and not take their jobs away. I feel that all countries need to advance as societies, and using technology is important, but there needs to be a balance. There is also a lack of spirit when AI and robots take over, there’s artificial negativity about it. 5. What about AI? Many fashion brands are using this now to forecast fashion markets. Could this be sustainable in any way? I think AI can be used to benefit the planet, however, I have had some experiences that make me understand AI is not healthy. For example, computer trolling or computer bots. When people use technology to try to get ahead in a false way, it backfires. Many AI programs that are fashion forecasting are creating hybrid clothing. They see what is selling and then they blend together what else is selling to keep the products selling. The clothing design then becomes an artificial mutation. We want an advanced, evolutionary design, not a mutation. At this point, I believe that we have to get back to ancient technology, and ancient technology is not artificial, it is sourced from the Great Spirit, or the “light”. Ancient technology involves advanced methods for creating collective trends in a multidimensional way. So fashion forecasting is good when we can use our modern intuition to create and grow the collective trends for the season. 6. Is there any kind of wearable tech you would recommend? At this point, our bodies can adapt to what we need for the most part. If there is a piece of wearable tech that people are interested in, and they want to wear it, then that is ok, but we want to look at healthier wearable tech in the future. The medical-based wearable tech, is the type of wearable tech I recommend if it is necessary. For example, some people are dependent on medical techwear, like wearable ECG monitors and wearable blood-pressure monitors. 7. What are your final thoughts on the relationship between technology and fashion? In order to have a healthy relationship between technology and fashion, there are specific materials we should look into when we choose wearable tech. Listed below are 4 inventions made by Hanna Kroeger, a master healer. The types of wearable technology products listed are for the modern, new age, spiritual kind of people. They are ancient wearable technology. Soon we may even have an energy current with safer, non-EMF materials that can get us connected and will be used to make wearable sensors and monitors, too. Pendulum necklaces in sterling silver-- dowsing is a spiritual divination tool. It can give the answers to questions we ask by our higher self and Great Spirit. Body Magnet Kits: wearing magnets will balance the magnetic poles in humans. They work with a human’s biomagnetic energy. The Soma Board Food Energizer-- is not wearable, however, the technology is amazing, and we can be inspired by it and make it into jewelry or added to accessories. Inside the box (the Soma Board) is a combination of minerals, herbs, and pyramid technology that dissolve chemical residues in food, and can also dissolve the chemical residue in the body. The Native American pouch. This is modern, ancient technology. We can keep a small pouch full of things like herbs, seeds, crystals, chimes, and anything that will support the physical, mental, emotional, and energy body. These are just a few examples of ancient modern wearable tech, and they are part of the future of “wearable tech.” I feel like we have so many different types of materials we can use, like sacred geometry, copper, crystals, and other elements of the Earth that can be turned into a form of wearable tech that will truly advance our life and planet. This type of technology will surpass some of the artificial materials that are being used to create some of the current techwear that still needs to be more developed and improved. There are ancient civilizations and ancestors that will help us design and produce modern, ancient technology for today. • Healthy Fashion Book Q + A

Below is a list of questions and answers about the book, HEALTHY FASHION: THE DEEPER TRUTHS. You can pre-order your copy now. The book is released Dec, 1. 2021. I talk about the book writing process, what inspired me, and what you will learn from this book. Tell us about yourself. I am a fashion author and a fashion entrepreneur. I specialize in fashion for health. I offer the methods and solutions on ‘medicinal’ fashion design + apparel. I educate and teach fashion for health concepts that support the mind, body, and spirit. I am the author of my soon-to-be-released book: HEALTHY FASHION: THE DEEPER TRUTHS. My book is about innovative ways of advancing fashion. I am working on my book launch while I work on my fresh-inspired campaign HEALTHY FASHION as well. My campaign is zine-like, I have created fashion printables, fashion illustrations, and trend boards, etc. My business is created to help support fashion professionals and their healthy fashion business, and to help support fashion consumers, and their personal healthy wardrobes. Give a brief description of your book, HEALTHY FASHION. My comprehensive manual, a big-picture book inherently interweaves all things fashion. To achieve a circular, new, healthy approach, a multi-faceted approach is addressed. A diverse culmination of topics- from fashion psychology to fashion technology is included. We are at the time of a spiritual awakening. The fashion industry is in a bit of transition right now. We are slowly catching on to producing and promoting fashion in pursuit of the mind/body/spirit. My book speaks about multi-dimensional apparel as a part of the spiritual awakening. Meaning, fashion that supports us physically, mentally, emotionally, energetically, and spiritually. I wanted to write a book that would be attributed as modern, fresh, and high-fashion for a new age. I have been fashion-obsessed, and I consider myself a fashion ‘psychic.’ I have spent a lot of time and energy creating new concepts for fashion both through artistic, philosophical and through a lot of research as well. Who is the book for? The book is for fashion people- everyone that is interested in fashion. Whether you are a fashion professional or a fashion consumer, this book is for you. The book supports a healthy wardrobe and a healthy fashion industry. Each page is directed to embrace the reader with interesting knowledge for those who want to use and promote fashion as a health practice. It establishes an alternative, modern approach to clothing; fashion deemed medicinal. The book can be ideally recognized in the field and study of fashion, health, sustainability, and holistic/New Age topic categories. Why did you write HEALTHY FASHION? I wrote the book because I wanted help to create and promote new fashion concepts in order to build a healthier fashion industry. I have problem-solved and I have created solutions on the critical need for healthy apparel. I wanted to create solutions for any fashion and apparel that lacks spirit. I have developed and research ways that we can use fashion to support the mind, body, and spirit, and spirited fashion Modify this question to communicate a unique attribute of your book or the people you write about. Naturally being an optimistic person, I noticed an emptiness and a lack of spirit and health in fashion, in general. It inspired me to write a book about modern, fresh, and high-fashion for the New Age: Healthy Fashion. I am fashion intuitive. Over the years I have created interesting, new concepts on fashion that are both artistic, philosophical, and factual. The idea of fashion and metaphysics is strong in your book. What about that idea inspired you? I started writing the book when I moved to Mount Shasta, CA. The mountain there, Mount Shasta, is a large energy vortex. A lot of interesting things occurred over the course of time that led me to write the book. Part of the ideas book was inspired by Mount Shasta. A lot of New Age activity occurs on Mount Shasta. I have been involved in esoteric and New Age subjects since I was a teenager. A lot of the influence behind the ‘spirituality + fashion’ and the ‘energy + fashion’ section of the book was from the connection that I have with this miraculous mountain, and the supernatural experiences that had occurred, and my natural gifts as a channeler and energy healer. Is this book a part of a series? I will be writing more books that will be in relation to my first book HEALTHY FASHION: THE DEEPER TRUTHS. It will not be part of a series, but many of the concepts in my first book will be discussed in-depth in my future books. What is the “heart” of your story in HEALTHY FASHION? The heart of the story is that the book supports the fact that fashion for health is unique to each individual. There are so many different ways fashion designs and apparel can be “healthy.” When the reader reads the book, the information will resonate with the reader, naturally. Overall the heart of the book is the major fashion concepts that I have written about, some of them are Universal Fashion, Feng Shui Fashion, Fashion Archetypes vs. Stereotypes, Plant-tech fashion, etc. A fresh, new approach to fashion: Fashion to awaken the soul/spirit My work Healthy Fashion is a timely testament; what we need, as a part of the new paradigm of living holistically. It broadcasts evolutionary concepts that make fashion transcend its general unhealthy condition. Part of the concept of healthy fashion results in a fun and bountiful future. I appreciate the optimism and spirit of fashion that cures the ails of the body. We all want more ways to feel and look healthy. Fashion can do just that, and I am here to show you how. There’s so much pain and suffering in the world! Fashion is and can be used as a tool to promote and create healing, health, and overall balance and harmony. What was the most challenging part of writing this book? I think the most challenging were the times when I had writer’s block. It was fun to write but there were times where I had writer’s block, which made it a challenge. What drew you to write this particular fashion story? I wrote healthy fashion, because I have experienced pain and suffering in my life, and I found fashion can be used as a tool to alleviate, treat, and cure illness. Also, I have found that the ultimate type of apparel is a garment that supports the body, and promotes mind/body health. I started designing and sketching when I was a teenager. I used it initially as a creative outlet. I would experiment and upcycled my clothing. I have a strong connection with fashion and apparel, in general, so many of the topics in the book are based on years of reflecting on my fashion and the fashion collective, and the fashion industry at large. What other books have inspired you? I love reading books. I like reading channeled New Age books. One New Age book which is one of my favorites is Telos by Dianne Robbins. Another New Age book is Hanna Kroeger’s New Dimensions in Healing Yourself. She is the author of over 20 novels, and I have read many of them. She was a master healer. A couple of fashion books that I have read that are a couple of my favorite memoirs are Bill Cunningham’s Fashion Climbing, and Christian Dior’s memoir Dior by Dior: The Autobiography of Christian Dior. A couple Talk about your influences here. What writers do you like? What books were seminal in your life? Mentioning your literary preferences situates you in the community of authors. The books and authors you mention do not have to be in the same genre as your book, in fact, the contrast may be intriguing. What can readers hope to learn from this book? Healthy Fashion is a forward-thinking book that tunes into a modern lifestyle. Fashion as modern medicine is a relatively new concept, an advanced approach. Connecting with clothing in a deeper way will help support our spiritual Ascension. There are many names to call New Age fashion: spiritual fashion, spa fashion, holistic fashion, healthy fashion, and wholesome fashion. These are all terms to describe what I mean when I say New Age fashion. It is cool and trendy to be aware and interested in spiritual ascension. A few modern websites that I like, and that talk about spirituality in a cool and modern way, are Mystic Mama (you don’t have to be a mom or female), Mind Body Green, and OmTimes. What are the benefits of fashion mantras? When we think about the fashion mantras, they create a heightened sense of enlightenment. The mantras bring us into a state of connection with our wardrobe in a new way. • How to Create a Wardrobe That Will Improve Your Life

Creating a healthy wardrobe routine In this post, you will learn a few ways to create a healthy fashion wardrobe routine. I will share with you ways that you can create a wardrobe to improve your life. After you have read through this post, if you find you want more information, I have linked a few other blog posts below that will include more information about wardrobe wellness routines. A fashion wardrobe routine is a part of a healthy lifestyle. It is the healing act of dressing, the creative process, and the clothing itself being designed and worn in a healthy way. A part of our wellness and self-care routines is our dressing and styling of a wardrobe. It creates health, wellness, balance, wholeness, and healing. We dress every day and put our clothes on every day so it is an important part of our lifestyle. We don't always use fashion to take care of ourselves, so, in this post, I'm going to suggest ways on how we already do and new ways to improve and create more health through our wardrobe. Do we already practice a healthy wardrobe routine? Yes, and there are specific things that we do that make us practice through our wardrobe, and I will share them with you. Clothing supports our daily life, our daily living, and our current goals. We are automatically practicing fashion as a wellness routine now, but, we can create more ways in order to create a wardrobe that is helpful for our wellbeing and our personal health. Some days we will practice fashion for our health more than other days, and that is ok. A few things we can be conscious of in order to practice Fashion for health include colors in our wardrobe, and from the types of fabric textures that we wear to the types of fabrics that move with the body. Fashion is about beauty, hair, makeup, perfume, hygiene, and wearing clothing that makes us feel good and makes us look good. Fashion for self-care includes the way our clothes are styled together that make an impression on others, and in addition, they express our identity. One part of a fashion wellness routine is creating a wardrobe that will include supporting the human that creates balance for the human and brings their life immersed with the fashion world and including it in our life. We are constantly growing and developing a wardrobe even if it's a matter of wearing the same outfit every day for years. The clothing changes and evolves with the person. That outfit still grows with us and the outfit changes over time. It's our mind and perception that is a part of creating an evolved wardrobe. A few examples of creating a wardrobe that is for your wellness and part of your wellness routine: Choose to wear healthy plant fibers, (and some polyester when/if necessary) Choose plant-based laundry detergent that is full of nourishing health ingredients for your health like essential oils, and castor or coconut oil. It is important to wear healthy clothes during the day, to bed, and while we do our activities like exercising or walking. People have lots of hobbies that call for different types of clothing whether we're going to a museum or going out for dinner or we’re going for a walk in the woods. There are always different types of clothing that will help support our many different daily living and lifestyle activities. I believe when we are meditating and practicing a spiritual life we want to wear clothes that are in alignment with those types of spiritual activities. So, it is important to wear spiritual-minded clothing. It is also important to develop our own style and study fashion in our own ways so that we can learn more about what we like and what we don't like. It will support our wardrobe and it will support our mindset. If we don't listen to the body and what the body/mind wants to wear, we are not going to be as comfortable throughout the day. With a fashion tracker, we can track our outfits and notice which outfits are more comfortable and which outfits are less comfortable to wear. The wardrobe plays a significant role in our health. Our fashions are a multidimensional extension of our bodies. So when we choose to wear clothing for our mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, and energetic health, clothing makes life easier for us. A few fashion tracker tips: Included below are a few tips on how we can create a wardrobe wellness routine through dressing and styling our daily outfits. These fashion tracker tips will help to improve our lives. How can we learn to track our clothes? It is easy because we are already checking our clothes in the mirrors daily, and looking down at our outfits, tracking them. However, there are several ways we can make it more professional. Additionally, instead of just observing our clothing, we can make it support our careers and lifestyles. It does not only involve writing down thoughts/ideas, answers, and reflections in your fashion log/diary. Tracking fashion can be from photos--taking photos of our own outfits and maybe others, and logging it through a cell phone or camera. These photos can then be added to a hard drive in order for them to be easily accessed. A photo journal is as important as a text-based journal. I recommend taking photos of outfits daily, weekly, or monthly. We can learn and understand a lot about ourselves when we track our clothes. Use fashion apps, there are many apps that can help you track your outfit Use my Fashion Journal Tracker, to track your outfits Use a cellphone or camera to document your outfits Use a planner-- plan when you are going to track and document your outfits Create weekly or monthly fashion collages with magazine clippings Tracking fashion as a part of your wardrobe wellness routine is going to be even more trendy pretty soon. We have: food & diet journals exercise journals spa + wellbeing journals planners and now we are getting more and more interested in journaling in our fashion trackers, fashion planners, and fashion/style journals. If you have not already created a fashion journal or are using some kind of way to document your fashion, you have a lot of options. These fashion journals can be done daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly. I have tracked my outfits recently with my cellphone. Some of them are selfies but I remember the complete outfit. It has helped me in various ways: My mental health- it supports my memories and it gives me good emotions and feelings that that outfit helped me that specific day. My physical health- it helps me remember which outfits were comfortable or uncomfortable. If I have a bad day in a certain outfit, sometimes I don’t wear that outfit again, because I remember, for example, that the colors of the top and pants were off and it was affecting my mood. My spiritual health- I love seeing myself alive and well in the photos, and I like to see myself when I am not well also because I am not always in perfect health at all times. Documenting my looks gives me a stronger connection between myself and the clothing. How has it helped my career? I see that I am creating fashion experiences, and, as I make a stronger connection with my clothes I feel like my intuition + fashion wisdom are increasing. This is helping me forecast trends and learn and detect about what everyone wants, not just what I like. A large role of my work HEALTHY FASHION-- is to bring this new fashion health and wellness trend to the mainstream. For me to do that I have to be a fashion forecaster, I have to be intuitive about the industry, and trends. Fashion tracking and journaling have helped. There are numerous reasons why fashion journaling helps a person's fashion career. Stay tuned for a new post where I will be writing on how fashion tracking develops, grows, and improves our lives. When we start to dress and choose outfits that help our mood and enhance our energy, we will see how important it is to document our outfits.
